About

My story

From coordinating a team to secure a grant of $2.9 million to tackle neglected diseases in Africa, to organising arts fundraising events at the Design Museum and Royal Albert Hall in London, I am passionate about working with fundraising teams making a difference to people’s lives.

I focus on supporting charities to develop and implement strategies to build income through growing strong and sustainable relationships with donors.

Since starting my consultancy four years ago, I have supported non-profit organisations to develop their fundraising through delivering strategic reviews of existing fundraising operations, case for support development, donor proposal and report writing, fundraising training workshops, market assessments of new fundraising markets and prospect research.

With a focus on driving income growth in existing and new markets in Europe and the U.S.A, as well as in East Africa and the Middle East, my practice spans a range of fundraising methods. I have experience in managing philanthropic partnerships with trusts and foundations, companies, major donors and institutions alongside management of prospect research, events and membership programmes.

My fundraising consultancy is rooted in 17 years of practical experience around the world. In this time, I have been fortunate to work in-house as a fundraiser for a wide range of non-profit organisations of all sizes, from a United Nations agency and a large international non-profit, to smaller national and grassroots organisations.

I am a member of the Institute of Fundraising in the U.K. and hold their Certificate in Fundraising Management. I have a Masters degree in International Development from the University of Birmingham (UK) and a Bachelor’s degree in Music from the University of York (UK).

I am proud to be a Trustee of Streetwise Opera and a member pro bono of the HIV and sexual health charity AVERT’s Fundraising Advisory Group.
